Summer heat protection

Modern buildings should be bright and inviting and allow virtually unobstructed views outside. In practice, this concept is implemented with large window surfaces or shiny facades. The larger the window surface chosen, the larger the energy input from the sun which causes heating of the interior.

This might by desirable in the winter but can lead to rooms heated to unpleasant temperatures in the summer months. It is therefore important to plan the right sun protection measures to make use of the energy input in the winter and at the same time enable a pleasant room atmosphere in the summer.

The scope of our services

Determining the critical rooms affected in the summer
Verification management in accordance with standards using tabulated methods or dynamic thermal simulation
Optimising proportion of window surface, degree of solar energy transmittance (g value), sun protection devices and air change
